President: Edwin K. Yager, Ph.D.
Dr. Yager is Director of the Institute, a practicing psychologist and author. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the UCSD School of Medicine. His textbook, “Foundations of Clinical Hypnosis: From Theory to Practice” is highly regarded in the field. Dr. Yager has honed Subliminal Therapy over the past 30 years as a private practitioner in San Diego.
Secretary: Cathy McGuire
In addition to her responsibilities as Secretary of the Institute, Ms. McGuire is Project Manager of the research programs sponsored by the Institute. Her management skills, coupled with her knowledge of the application process of NIH research, qualifies her for this position.
Treasurer: Barbara Tierney, M.A.
Ms. Tierney, with her Masters degree in Economics and Statistics, is uniquely qualified to act as Treasurer of the Institute. In addition to teaching college level economy and statistics, she is pursuing a doctorate in psychology. Her ability to apply the principles of statistics in the domain of psychology, makes her a valuable addition to the management team.
