What is Subliminal Therapy?
Subliminal Therapy is a psychotherapy technique that utilizes extra-conscious mental abilities of the patient to uncover and resolve the cause of presenting problems. There are three domains of mental functioning; consciousness, subconscious and an extra-conscious domain wherein extraordinary abilities reside. Therapy is accomplished by the extra-conscious domain in a logical series of steps, guided by the therapist, to accomplish the therapeutic goal. It is a psychodynamic technique.
The uniqueness of Subliminal Therapy lies in the use of the patient’s extra-conscious mental abilities that are collectively referred to as “Centrum.” Centrum is guided by the therapist to identify and resolve the actual cause/s of presenting problems, while bypassing conscious opinions and limitations that might otherwise interfere. Symptoms of the presenting problem are not directly addressed; the symptoms will cease to exist when the cause is resolved.
It is commonly true that many disorders, both physical and psychological, have an etiology that is derived from life experience. It is also commonly true that patients who suffer from such disorders do not have conscious awareness of the origin of, or understand the actual causes of, their problems, although it is also true that there may be conscious beliefs about the cause. Since the true cause is unknown, full resolution of the problem is not possible; only its symptoms can be treated. Identification of the true cause/s is a primary task of Centrum.
In applying Subliminal Therapy, following identification and articulation of the goals to be achieved, and defining priorities of those goals, the following logical progression of steps is employed:
